Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting new career supporting people with learning disabilities to live fully integrated lives and realise their full potential?

This is your opportunity to be part of a growing company who offer a progression route within the company.

No experience is necessary as we are looking for the people with the right values and attitudes, with a willingness to learn. We believe the right attitude and approach are more important, and full training will be provided including the completion of the Care Certificate.

We are looking for staff to work in Nuneaton, North Warwickshire and Rugby services.

The role requires applicants to have a full driving licence and access to a car which is insured for business use as you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of different customers both in their own home and out in the local community.

This provider provides 24/7 support to customers, so staff work flexible shifts on a rota system which does include working SOME weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities:
You will work alongside a great team of staff who support people to live independently in their own homes and to access their local community. This includes supporting customers with a range of everyday activities such as: budgeting, cooking, household chores, visiting family, meeting up with friends and accessing activities such as bowling, cinema and the local leisure centre.

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with the people you work with, introduce new ideas and support people to try new things. By doing so you will play a key part in supporting people to develop new skills, access new opportunities and live fulfilled lives.

You will play a Key Worker role where you will be responsible for writing support plans, supporting people to set goals and liaising with professionals and families.

You will work within a team as well as on your own, and have the opportunity to be an active, contributory team member; using your own initiative to drive the service forward.
