Housing Policy Officer - Private Sector

Job Description

Job role: Development of housing strategy/policy, partnership working and bid writing to secure funds to deliver outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- To undertake and develop innovative private sector housing policy development on behalf of the Directorate.

- To ensure that emerging national and regional housing private sector policies are incorporated into local policies and programmes.

- To carry out housing needs surveys, review local, regional and national housing trends, provide Mayoral and Member briefings, MAB and Cabinet reports and set out housing policy options in relation to the private sector for the Council.

- To work with other officers, the Mayor, Members, internal and external partners to provide a comprehensive strategic housing and planning service.

- To work collaboratively with corporate colleagues and external landlords on accreditation, licensing and the London Rental Standard as appropriate.
