A fantastic children's centre located in the heart of East London in Hackney is currently looking for qualified nursery practitioners to join their fantastic team on a full-time basis. The children's centre is a bright and vibrant centre which aims to deliver excellent care for the children as well as delivering the EYFS in the curriculum. The children's centre has some great facilities which help contribute to the child's success such as spacious facilities. The children's centre is looking for a confident and enthusiastic qualified nursery practitioner who can be an asset to the team and enjoys working with children.
The successful nursery practitioner must have some prior experience in working with children and a minimum of a level 2 NVQ in childcare, in addition to these, extra qualifications such as a certificate in paediatric first aid or food and hygiene would be beneficial to the application of this role. The successful nursery practitioner must also engage with the children and take initiative when required to support the existing team members in the children's centre. The successful nursery practitioner must be a team player as well as working well alone and must always be vigilant when working with the children. The successful nursery practitioner must also have a strong knowledge of safeguarding issues and know how to deal with situations when required and reporting to the suitable nursery managers when required. The successful nursery practitioner should also be able to make and develop positive relationships with the children as well as the parent/guardians and uphold the positive reputation that the centre currently holds.
The successful nursery practitioner may be required to carry out a variety of tasks during the day which may be involving physical or emotional care. Physical tasks may include nappy changing, feeding the children, providing nutritious snacks for the children and maintaining the children centre to a high standard as required. In addition to this emotional care may also be required so therefore the successful nursery practitioner should be a caring and empathetic individual.
